Naddi Village (12 km)

Sahaja Yoga Ashram & Meditation Centre (12 km)

Sahaja Yoga Ashram is situated in the beautiful, natural and peaceful location of Talnoo near the famous International Sahaja School in Village Naddi. In the Ashram meditation centre is open to public for free meditation and realization.

Dal Lake (10 km)

Dal Lake is a small mid-altitude lake near the Mcleodganj Dharamshala. The lake is surrounded by deodar trees and is considered to be a sacred spot as there is small Shiva Temple on its bank.

St. John church (8 km)

The St. John’s Church leaves traces of British rule in the country, located near Mcleodganj in Dharamshala. It came into existence in the year 1852. It has a very peaceful and calm look to it. St. John’s Church has decorated glass windows.

Dharamkot Village (12 km)

Dharamkot is a small village on the crest of a hill above McLeodGanj in Dharamshala. Dharamkot is a spot with wide views of the Kangra Valley and the Dhauladhar ranges.

Triund Trekking (13 km)

Triund is a small hill station with large land of green grass, deodar, oak, pine, and Rhododendron forest. Triund is a charming hamlet perched at an altitude of about 2,828 m, in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh. Triund is located at the foothills of the Dhauladhar range and is considered as the heart of McLeodganj and Dharamshala, from where the trek begins. Triund Trek is considered as one of the most popular and easiest treks in Himachal Pradesh. The total distance of Triund trek is 9 km (5.6miles) which can be covered in 4-5 hours. Triund is accessible all around the year.

Bhagsunag Waterfall (12 km)

Bhagsunag Waterfall is among the most famous attractions of Mcleodganj Dharamshala. Located in the serene village of Bhagsu, the waterfall has a height of 20m. It is also visited by many devotees due to the presence of a temple nearby which dedicated to Lord Shiva. Crystal-clear waters, an adventurous trail and sights of hills makes it one of the most beautiful tourist point of Mcleodganj

Mcleodganj & Dalai Lama (Namgyal) Monastery (9 km)

Mcleodganj is a suburb of Dharamshala in Himachal. It is known as “Little Lhasa” or “Dhasa” because of its large population of Tibetans. The Tibetan government-in-exile is headquartered in McLeod Ganj.  Mcleodganj was established in the mid-1850s as a British garrison and this time Mcleodganj has become a major centre for the study of Buddhism and Tibetan culture. Tsuglagkhang, The Dalai Lama’s temple complex (Namgyal Monastery) is the life-blood of the Mcleodganj. The H.H. Dalai Lama temple is located a short walk away from the market.

Tibetan Library (2 km)

The Library of Tibetan Works and Archives is a Tibetan library in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. The library was founded by Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama on 11 June 1970, and is considered one of the most important libraries and institutions of Tibetan works in the world.

Kangra Art Museum (500 mtr)

The Kangra Art Museum is located at the centre of Kotwali Bazar in Dharamshala. A must visit place for art lovers and history buffs. The prime attraction of the Kangra Art Museum is the miniature paintings have to be looked into for its intricate and mesmerizing work. The museum also hosts some space where artists can be found painting and displaying their work.

Tea Gardens Dharamshala (1 km)

The smallest tea region of Dharamshala has beautifully lined and organized tea gardens across the Kangra Valley. It is known for its good quality tea and is available for purchase in many shops across Dharamshala and Mcleodganj

War Memorial (1 km)

War Memorial is located at the entry point of the Dharamshala town and it was built to commemorate the memory of those who fought valiantly for the honour of their motherland. The War Memorial in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh is one of the most visited places and every Himachali takes pride of this amazing place. The surrounding of the war memorial is extremely beautiful and you can see the beautiful landscape gardens and poetic little paths around the war memorial while crossing the paths.

Cricket Stadium Dharamshala (1 km)

The Dharamshala Cricket Stadium ground has a snow-capped background in the form of the Dauladhar hill-range. The mountains add to the serenity of the venue, which lies at an altitude of 1317 metres above sea level. Another impressive feature is its openness and small-sized stands, which allow for winds to sweep across.

Norbulinga Tibetan Handicraft Institute (8 km)

The institute is named after Norbulingka, the traditional summer residence of the H.H. Dalai Lamas in Lhasa, Tibet. The main building is a replica of the Norbulingka palace in Lhasa. Founded by the Department of Religion and Culture of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), the institute contains the Centre for Arts, the Academy of Tibetan Culture, the Literary and Cultural Research Centre and the library and publications department. The Norbulingka Foundation was established in 1995 for the preservation of ancient art practices of Tibet, especially crafts.

Tapovan Chinmaya Ashram (12 km)

Chinamaya Tapovan Ashram is named after his guru Swami Tapovan and is also a centre for the Chinmaya Rural Primary Health and Training Centre. The ashram is on the banks of River Bindu Saras and offers an ambience of tranquillity and calm. A nine foot high statue of Lord Hanuman stands at the gate, spreading his special message of loyalty and bravery.

Karmapa Monastery (Gyuto Monastery) (10 km)

The Karmapa Monastery (Gyuto Monastery) is one of the most famous monasteries and specializes in the study of Tantric meditation, Tantric ritual arts and Buddhist philosophy.  Gyuto Monastery was founded in Tibet in 1474 by the main disciple of the first Dalai Lama, Jetsun Kunga Dhondup. After the communist Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1959, the monastery was re-established in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. Visitors can also take part in the prayers on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the Monastery.

Mata Chamunda Devi Temple (16 km)

Mata Chamunda Devi Temple is located at a distance of 16 km from Dharamshala. Chamunda Devi Temple is dedicated to goddesses Durga or Chamunda (Hindu deity), the surroundings of the temple provide an excellent venue for meditation prayers and spiritual attainments. The Chamunda Devi Temple is said to be more than 700 years old. It is a big temple complex with a large pond where devotees take a dip.

Gopalpur Zoo (18 km)

Gopalpur Zoo is situated in Gopalpur village in Himachal Pradesh, en route the Dharmshala – Palampur road. It is surrounded by Dhauladhar Range of the Himalayas. The zoo is adorned with maple trees, horse chestnut trees, chil and greenery. Zoo remains closed on every Monday.

Palampur is a green hill station in the Kangra Valley in the Himachal Pradesh. It is surrounded by tea gardens and pine forests before they merge with the Dhauladhar ranges. Palampur is the tea capital of northwest India but tea is just one aspect that makes Palampur a special interest place.

Baijnath Shiv Temple (52 km)

Baijnath temple was built in 1204 A.D by two native merchants, Ahuka and Manyuka, who were doting devotees of Lord Shiva. Baijnath Shiv temple is situated at a distance of 52 kms from Dharamshala. It is one of the very few temples in India where both, Lord Shiva and Demon King Ravan are worshipped. According to the ancient scriptures of Hindu tradition, Lord Shiva established 12 jyotirlingas, which were pillars that emanated pure light and unencumbered power, across the country as a challenge to Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma; and one of these 12 jyotirlingas rests inside the famous Baijnath Temple.

Bir Billing Paragliding (70 km)

Bir Billing is well known for being India’s highest paragliding spot and 2nd best place for paragliding in the word near famous tourist destination Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. Bir Billing hosted Paragliding World Cup in 2015. This was First ParaglidingWorld Cup of India. This event happened in the month of October from 24th to 31st, 2015. During world cup 150 top ranked paragliding pilots are all over the world participating along with 500 free flying pilots.

Masroor Rock Cut Temple (42 km)

The Masroor temple is a unique monolithic structure and is also one of the most unexplored temples near Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. It is a complex of single-rock-cut monolithic temples, in Nagara style, dated by art historians to 6–8th centuries. This holy shrine is located on the hill top at a height of about 2,500 ft from the sea level.

Mata Brijeshwari Devi Temple (20 km)

The temple of Brijeshwari Devi is located in the town of Nagarkot, Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh. The temple is 20 km away from Dharamshala. A legend says that after Goddess Sati sacrificed herself in the honour of Lord Shiva in her Fathers Yagya. Shiva took her body on his shoulder and started Tandav. In order to stop him from destroying the world Lord Vishnu divided the body of Sati into 51 parts with his Chakra. The left breast of Sati fell at this spot, thus making it a Shakti Peeth.The original temple was built by the Pandavas at the time of Mahabharatha.

Kangra Fort (22 km)

The Kangra Fort was built by the royal Rajput family of Kangra State (the Katoch dynasty), which traces its origins to the ancient Trigarta Kingdom, mentioned in the Mahabharata epic. Kangra Fort is the largest fort in the Himalayas and probably the oldest dated fort in India. A British garrison occupied the fort until it was heavily damaged in an earthquake on the 4th of April, 1905.

Mata Jwalamukhi Devi Temple (55 km)

The famous Jwalaji Temple in Kangra Himachal Pradesh is dedicated to Goddess Jwalamukhi, the one with the flaming mouth. Jwalamukhi Devi temple is to be the home to nine permanent flames named after the goddesses – Mahakali, Annapurna, Chandi, Hinglaj, Bindhya Basni, Maha Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ambika and Anji Devi. The major tourist attractions are its aartis. If you reach the temple at the precise timings, you can easily catch one of the five aartis that are held at the temple on a daily basis.

Mata Chintpurni Devi Temple (78 km)

Chintpurni is a major pilgrimage Centre and one of the Shakti Peethas in Himachal Pradesh. The Chintpurni shakti peeth is located in Una district Himachal Pradesh state, surrounded by the western Himalaya in the north and east in the smaller Shiwalik range bordering the state of Punjab.
